How to Make Money Online from your twitter Background?

.

Today, I spotted a new Twitter relatedservice. It is called ‘TwittAd’ and as the name says, it aims at providing advertisingservice on Twitter profile. In simple words, it utilizes the backgrounds of Twitter profiles for advertising and provides Twitter users a way to make some money!

Like other advertising services, is there any chances of showing intrusive ads through ‘TwittAd’? Well, right now, I don’t see any such possibilities, because of their advertising model. They provides adsthrough background images! In their own words: “Our goal is to not fill Twitter with ugly & obnoxious advertisements. We give advertisers templates and ideas to help keep the integrity of Twitter background images.”

How to start? To sell ads, sign up for an account with
‘TwittAd’and specify the duration and price of your ad space. Then wait for advertisers to buy your space! Having a large number of followers will increase the chances of getting good advertisers. From your account, you can accept or decline ads. If you accept an ad, you need to upload the ad design to the design section of your Twitter account. Once you have placed the ad, notify TwittAd and get paid every hour you serve the ad. You can cash out via PayPal, once your account reaches $20 balance.

For advertisers,
‘TwittAd have provided some example ads on their site. So, if you want to advertise through their service, create your ad in one of their ad formats and look for suitable Twitter profiles for placement of your ad. TwittAd charges 5% as service on your total purchase price.

So, that was all about
‘TwittAd’ I can see that, some users are aready running ads on their Twitter profile backgrounds, by using this new service. But, I have no idea, how much benefits the advertisers are incurring from this service. What you think about this new advertising model? Do you think that it is going to stay? Feel free to give your comments.

Hey! Thanks for covering Twittad. In a few short weeks we will be offering a new way to monetize. Currently, advertisers seek out Twitter users. In a few weeks you, the Twitter user..can opt-in to a advertiser campaign. Once the advertiser accepts..you begin serving the ad and getting paid.

We hope you check it out once it is live!

James

Privacy Policy

Beginning in April, 2009 Google will begin tracking user activity via a cookie. This cookie will then determine what ads might be most appropriate for you, based on your interests. People who frequently visit ESPN.com and CNNSI.com, for example, will see sports-related ads.

The logic is that you will be more interested in these ads than you might be in ads that are simply related to the content of the blog.

For more information, or to opt out, go to Google Privacy Center. There is a blue "opt out" button in the upper right corner.

If you opt out, you will continue to see ads, but they will be related to the content of the blog - something that does not require a cookie.
