Phase-II of CDGK monitoring system completed

KARACHI: City District Government Karachi (CDGK) on Friday successfully linked the most important Phase-II corridor of the Command and Control System with the Command and Control Centre at the Civic Centre.

The corridor was linked using 16 cameras that connect Nishtar Park, its adjoining streets and major roads and the M A Jinnah Road from Numaish Chowrangi to Tower.

The CDGK established the Command and Control System under the supervision of experts to monitor the situation of the city with the help of modern technology and cameras. In the first phase, Corridor I and II were connected to the system with the help of 56 cameras and the situation of the city is being monitored using these cameras.

City Nazim Mustafa Kamal had announced that in the second phase of the Command and Control System, cameras will be installed at Nishtar Park and M A Jinnah Road to Tower and work will be completed before Muharram-ul-Haram, so that the situation in the area can be monitored.

These areas have now been linked to Command and Control System with the coordination of the CDGK and Jamshed Town. On Friday, all activities at Numaish Chowrangi, Tibet Centre, Jamia Cloth Market, Boulton Market to Tower and on the entire M A Jinnah Road continued to be monitored from the Command and Control Centre, after which the experts declared the system completely satisfactory. app
