I have been using Twitter for almost two months. Initially, I wasn't very excited about it because it didn't inspired me alot, but as sooon as I started getting some traffic at my various blogs; I got eager to get more friends and traffic throgh power of microblogging and social networking.
I started following so many people with the intention to get more traffic and followings. I also used twitterfeed for automatic updates of four of my blogs at my Twitter account.
I was shocked to see this message at the top of my account in red color:
"This account is currently suspended and is being investigated due to strange activity. If we have suspended your account mistakenly, please let us know. See Suspended Accounts for more information."
It was so annoying that I immediately lodged a complaint ticket as below: -
bug from zeewaqar77: This is what I DID:
I used twitterfeed for my four different blogs
This is what I EXPECTED to happen:
i wanted to get my friends updated with my latest posts
This is what ACTUALLY happened:
but Twitter has suspended my account
I feel: Kindly release my twitter account
In response to the above form which I filled, I got this email explaining the potential reasons why my account was suspended: -
"This is an automated response to share reasons why Twitter suspends accounts for investigation; we're currently reviewing your request. If you've already sent in the information requested at bottom, there is no need to send it again.
Twitter suspends accounts for Terms of Service violations or spam investigation. (Please visit your own profile page to make sure you're actually suspended and not viewing someone else's suspended profile page.) If you are suspended, it's most likely for one or more of these reasons::
User Abuse
* a large number of people block the profile or write in with spam complaints
* aggressive following
* imbalanced ratio: the number of followers is small compared to number of people following
* misuse of the reply feature
* updates consist of duplicate links and/or text
* updates consist mainly of links and not personal updates
* updates consist of updates poached from others' timelines, passed off as one's own
Technical Abuse
* updates consist of links pointing to phishing sites, malware, or other harmful material
* a large number of accounts is created in a short amount of time
* an account is identified as belonging to a spam cluster
When this happens, we suspend the account for investigation and hide the contents from the public view in order to remove the cause of complaint.
It's important to us that the Twitter community receives only the content they'd like to receive. While we do welcome feed-based accounts, we discourage aggressive following and other tactics that will alarm people.
If you feel you've been suspended in error, please reply to this email with a short explanation if you haven't already, and don't forget to include your user name. We'll be in touch with more information soon.
Thanks for your understanding in this matter,
Twitter Support"
I had 351 followings and 50 followers so that might be the possible reason I guess. I learned it the hard way and I want my friends to avoid following so many friends and keep a ratio between followers and followings.
BOTTOMLINE: DO NOT OVERTWEET :-)
Happy Tweeting

As a follower of zeewaqar77 on Twitter it’s surprising to see this account run into trouble because it is actually one of the most concise and highly informative Twitter feeds available anywhere.
It provides news in a variety of topics, news that I’d not be able to find in any one other source: technology, politics, sports and human interest.
The guy is definitely not out to promote himself, but rather to share what he cares about and important tips about what he has learned. It fits perfectly with Twitter’s basic purposes.
